The import licence is free from the US Dept. of Ag. In the past, the exchange rate was quite favorable. The additional cost of sanitation ran about 100 per order. It really only becomes worth the effort if one is unable to get the cultivars here in the US. They are shipped in April, which is the end of their summer season, so the plants sometimes will bloom right away that spring. They aren't always a good indication of what the bloom will look like once they are settled in. Some then don't bloom for a couple years later. But eventually they do just fine. I'm guessing that those of you who live in areas with longer growing seasons will find it different. I've usually started them in pots when they get here, and add them to the garden later in the season. If we would do a group buy, we need to clarify what happens to the bonuses, Who decides who get what? Although, due to the cost of shipping, he didn't send many, maybe one per five plants ordered.

Also it worked best to pay by charge card, and the actual sum of the cost is not determined until shipment is made due to not knowing the exchange rate. There's also a charge for the money exchange on the charge card. That would make for lots of variables, and make it hard to determine each ones actual cost.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.
