It is the fawns that I have the most trouble with nibbling where they should not. After the older ones taste they will leave the rest alone.
I have had a mother and three yearlings in my front this winter. I have a large pin oak that tried to make up for lack of acorns in the previous years. I did not remove the leaves the way I should and the deer came over and eat most of the acorns from under the leaves. Other than on my front slope it appears I will not have a lot of oak seedlings. Hooray.
