I've been around for a number of years, but i sure don't remember laffy taffys. Maybe they were a regional treat? I sure like that name though, and i sure like strawberries and bananas. We frequently had parties on Halloween and would invite all the neighbor kids and when i was a kid i remember dunking my head in a tub of water trying to sink my little kid teeth into an apple before i drowned. We never lost a kid though...i guess my parents knew what they were doing
