I had excellent pod set on new plants of Indigo Dragon and Skylab (Trimmer-J.) as well as Soli Deo Gloria (Emmerich). All three of these plants set easily on primary and rebloom scapes, looking like clusters of grapes. Also, all three held color, substance and 'finish' very well under cloudless skies with 30% humidity.
Soli Deo Gloria was very impressive. Karol sent two very large fans this spring, and they really put on a show. I put one in sun and the other in the shade, and they both set pods equally well. My evenings tend to cool off quickly, and are typically well under 60 F by 9:00, so daylilies don't always open well or show off their most voluptuous faces here. In spite of that, SDG managed to display every 'look' shown on Karol's website. Like she says, expect a little thrip damage at first, then every bloom is better than the last.
