Debbie I have a lot of my succulents still outside. My Christmas cactus had not budded until I left them out when we went down to 28 last week. I was outside throwing blankets and plastic tarps on everything. When I uncovered them yesterday they had buds on them. I must have scared them leaving them out there in 28 degrees so they hurried up and showed me some buds.
We have never had temps that low this early.
I plan to have everything in by Sunday. Then next week I can play with the potting things up in pretty containers. Those are the ones that are on display for the winter. The others will be in the laundry room in ugly nursery pots until Summer.
