I find Green Lacewing eggs all the time but I just Googled what the adult looks like and I can't say that I see them. Maybe they're good at hiding. I read that they'll attack caterpillars so I'm not sure how "beneficial" that is in a butterfly garden. Still, I usually leave things alone. I always figure nature knows best. That balance is there and humans just tend to screw it up.
I'm thinking of relocating dozens of anoles (lizards) because this latest generation is out of hand! I've seen two of my Phaon Crescents get eaten.
Yesterday, I had to put down a Long-Tailed Skipper whose wings didn't form properly and I swear that seconds after I used the guillotine (scissors), there was a lizard with the head in its mouth! I was feeling bad enough. Jeez! But that's one reason I give them a "quick death" over the alternative. It's still pretty depressing.
But lots of stuff was good over the weekend and I'll tell you guys all about it - with pictures!- as soon as I wake up.
