The problem that I had last year when I promised rhizomes early was that some of the fans turned out to to be bloom stalks.. I mean, I figured that that would happen, but on some varieties, I may have had 8 fans, 5 bloomed, and I had 2 committed.. That didn't give me any margin of safety. Is there a way to tell early, if a fan is going to bloom? Or do you just go on the past history of that particular variety and know that if it makes a certain number of new fans that X many of those will bloom??
The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.
