Watch out for those little chipmunks. They love to eat tulips and hyacinths. They cleaned me out. They seem to leave the daffodils for last. I get two years out of them. I spent over $100 on different tulips and thought of it as an investment. Nope. only one year and then the next year only a very few, now nothing. I planted crown imperials thru out the planting bed because I heard they hate the smell and stay away. Nope, but I did get a few more years out of most. When they get hungrier, they'll eat anything. I heard of using chicken wire. It may work but I am never going to spend another $100 on tulips.
