I do know they have a purpose, just not in my garage. I was leaving a little corner open so my cats could go in and out of the garage, they were mostly outside cats if the weather was to their liking. I also had their food in the garage and fed them high off the floor. That possum was after their food. Such a commotion you never heard before . . . the cats were wailing and running on the shelves and knocking things off onto the floor. The possum was trying to get up onto the shelves.

Then I added my scream to that of the cats and all this took place sometime near midnight. But I had the broom, my only advantage. Until that squinchy angry thing started climbing the broom.

So I can't ever kill anything . . . but I was very tempted that night.

Yay for lessening the tick population anyway. That's a good thing.
