I believe in the use of the coffee grounds and my Cycads show the proof to me. After years of fighting the scale, removing all leaves using heavy poisons only to have the scale return on the new growth the following year. The Tampa area was full of the King Sago in landscapes. The scale wiped them out here and it is very rare to find them in landscapes or nurseries these days. I have seven total and all are still alive and scale free and all they receive is the coffee grounds.
