It is not going to hurt them with the length of time opening a door for guest to enter. The plant would have to sit outside for 24 hrs to really have the effect of freezing.

When opening the door for guest to enter when it is cold I do not have to put my coat on and I do not freeze. Rolling on the floor laughing But seriously, from what Dog has said this is a heated area, and only looking for something that is not a whimp plant. For the situation I would think anything would work except maybe a plant that needs constant temps and extremely sensitive to any drafts. Opening a door would only lower the temp in that area at most 2 degrees if that for 1 minute. What plants cannot survive 60 degrees?
