It was definitely hot & humid when I put the slices in the leaves months ago, and I have several other unmolested rosettes left after sharing a few extras. I did it for the same reason I do about anything to plants, for the entertainment value of observing the reaction, to amuse myself & see what happens. Now that this one has made its' bloom, next summer, I'll chop off all of the leaves & propagate them, and see if the stump still feels like making more pups.
