Ruby Spider is in my list of top three favorite daylily cultivars that I own. Her cheery blooms popped open reliably every day for about 2-3 weeks this past summer, always a beautiful bloom. The flowers are huge and the scapes all seemed to be almost the exact same size as each other; she was very uniform and reliable this year. She was also an incredible pod parent, forming pods from almost every pollen dab I put on her, even forming multiple pods from a VERY difficult pollen parent I have. As such a reliable pod parent, she became one of my 'tester' daylilies this season to test the ploidy of a couple of NOIDs I purchased.

Her foliage is a bright green and is pretty lush in a clump, perhaps of medium thickness, and it comes up very roughly to about half the height of the scape.

She doesn't seem to be a rebloomer in my area, but her limited period of blooming is worth it because it's impossible to look at her and not feel atleast a little happier. She also appears to definitely go dormant. We've had unseasonably warm weather this fall here, but she's definitely done and has been a pale, straw-colored lump for a little while now.
