Well, I don't know a lot. Agalinis edwardsiana just likes parts of the Hill Country and comes up out on the property...it's xeriscape and probably likes our somewhat crappy soil, but the fact that there were none in 2009 and many in 2010 means it does like some rain. I've never thought to take pics of the small plants or seedlings. Here no plants show up until late summer usually and some won't appear until September. There's two areas I know about in San Antonio where I see Agalinis...one has a moister environment and better soil. I think it's A. heterophylla there. And there's another species that grows on land (doesn't look like good soil...looks kind of chalky) that's a bit elevated near a mall in town. A. tenuifolia, I think. If you'd like to try seed for A. edwardsiana, I seem to have lots to gather this year.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
