Seeking feedback here:

Looking at this current swap, we have 591 items with 20 people trading. There will be 13 days of active trading before we finish and start the shipping phase.

Items / Number of Traders / Days of Trading * Current Day of Trading

on day one would look like this:

591 / 20 / 13 * 1

Gives us 2.16. Rounding the fraction up gives us 3.

So if I used this algorithm, then on day one, each person could get enough tickets to claim dibs on 3 items. Then on day two, the multiplier would mean everyone each gets 6 tickets, plus any dibs bonus you may have earned from people claiming your own items.)

On day 3, you'd get 9 dibs, and on day 4, you'd get 12 dibs, and so on. On day 13 (the final day) you'd have 39 dibs (plus any bonus earned dibs.)

What do you all think about this?
