It's true that you'll end up with more tickets than you want, and that's okay. The hope is that everyone gets what they wants and the left over tickets just disappear when the swap is over.

My main concern is those early days, to make sure that everyone gets what they want.

Starting on day one with 6 dibs might seem a little high to me. Especially considering this: you will get additional dibs when people select your items. I'm thinking on day one, you get one free ticket for every 2 of your items that are claimed. So if twenty people select your items on day one, you get a whopping ten extra tickets to use on day one. That's a huge advantage, but it's deserved since obviously you're offering the highest quality items.

But if we start everybody off with 6 tickets on day 1 then it's more likely that everything nice will be all taken on day 1.
