I agree with @Hetty, Betsy. Better to be safe than sorry. You probably won't have much luck rooting the plant though. At least, I have no luck doing so when dormancy comes 'round. I just store mine in buckets of coarse perlite over the fall/winter months with plans to root them in the spring.
