OK, I rescind my earlier input of C. esculenta for your 1st pic. Where the veins come together & meet petiole, there's a distinct difference, and the lobes are not as pointed on the 2nd pic you put. I don't have the knowledge to extrapolate Alocasia from your 1st pic, but can agree with "not C. esculenta." Sorry, I got bored enough today to break my rule of not getting involved in ID discussions for which I'm not really qualified, but did learn something.

The same thing happens every winter, even for house plant chat. I don't understand it.
