Hi froggiesgirl, Welcome from me too and how nice of your Texas friend to point you in the direction of All Things Plants! You will love it here ... many of us came here from the Dave's Garden site (DG was created and originally owned by the family who own All Things Plants!) We have a great group of friendly gardeners here on ATP and we love chatting about our favorite plants and sharing photos and information. This is the kindest and friendliest gardening site on the world wide web and we have the most up to date and accurate plant database too!

There is a lot of confusion regarding "Holiday Cactus", especially the ones commonly called "Thanksgiving" Cactus and "Christmas" Cactus. I guess there have been so many hybrids created over the years that it's probably very difficult to figure out what's what anymore. You might like to read this interesting article that was written by one of our members here on All Things Plants and describes the differences between the holiday cactus: http://garden.org/ideas/view/S...

You can also view lovely photos and read about different cultivars in our database: http://garden.org/plants/searc...

And, I hope someone with the exact plant you are looking for pops in and offers to share cuttings!

Again, Welcome!

Lin
