Planted in 2009 in my zone 4b garden, Barbara Mitchell blooms early to mid in my Vermont garden. Because of its location on my ski hill, on the steepest terrain, it gets very little attention from me, yet continuosly blooms without winter protection, year after year. The soft pink, pleated blooms with bright green throat, are just lovely. It has a central location on my hill. Thumbs up

'Barbara Mitchell' (This pix is a long shot of the bloom as its very difficult to get a close up of the flower due to the steep incline of my ski-slope garden)
