Mtssa. Shelob 'Tolkien' - a big YES to that. I remember the plant and have it in other pots. This was a division which ate its label. Thanks Kathy.

Jim, my Gramma had three nice flower stems but somebody came along on night and simply cut two of them off at the bottom. I don't know what kind of culprit would do that. I see no varmins under my cage. The plant itself is big and very pot bound as are many of my orchids. ☺ It looks healthy though and I'll just leave it alone.

There are quite a few plants in bud. I thought they took the summer off to bloom later in the fall when it's a bit cooler?

You saw the fall of the orchids, then my landscaper guy knocks on the door to tell me I have smoke and a fire at my fountain. WHAAT? I look and lo and behold the palm next to an electrical box and my auto-refill is burning nicely. I put a hose to the mess. I have no idea how something like that can happen but I see now why houses mysteriously go on fire. So I call the comapny who installed that system a month ago and they will be here to take a look. In the meantime (just had about an hour interuption) I was going to say we are waiting for a plumber to fix our hot water system. Wifee complains that there is not enough hot water for her to finsih a shower after she comes out of the hot spa. Anything to help with the arthritis. Anyway, he just left and all seems well again. Replaced two heating elements. Now back to my sprayer. I got it all assembled but still have to find some oil and a place to put it. I can't imagine that it goes into the bottom of the engine.
