Hi Rudd.
I agree with you on the cold and wet, it does diminish the flavor somewhat, but is still better than what I would get from the grocery store. The best I ever had was in Lebanon, up on the mountains. The scent filled the air. It was heavenly.
But our hot dry summers brings that amazing strong scent and flavor out.
