Hello eljanejoy

You can't really put a time on it. It's all to do, where you live, Climate, Temperature, what you are taking a cutting of, etc. I've had things root in three to four months, others a lot longer, and of course some never do. I have never used rooting powder or liquid, on hard or soft cuttings, but if you think it would help then by all means give it a go. My advice is just put them in and wait till you see signs of growth. Just look for those first green buds showing. It's great fun. As I have said if they don't take the first time, just keep trying. I promise you sometime something will. Good luck.

John.
