You are right. Plus it helps me not do something I would be sorry for later. When I get really upset about something I weed the gardens. My family knew when I had a bad day at work because I would jump out of the car and start weeding the garden in my work cloths. 
It was easier to work in the garden when I was pissed off. When I felt better I would go inside and be so happy. Did not bring any bad vibes inside my house. My dry cleaning bill was pretty big though.
