I think gardening is the best mental health therapy there is. Weeding gets all that tension and frustration out like nothing else. Pruning is really good also, but I sometimes lop off a little too much if I really had a bad day
Gotta be careful with that.
For these reasons, I will make the claim that gardeners may seem crazy to non-gardeners, but we are perhaps more sane than most.
Of course there is always the theory that the crazy person is the last to know....
