@djkkruschk,This Iris came from Superstition Iris Gardens in California. They have their information up on Facebook only instead of a website. I believe the dwarfs can withstand the cold in Wisconsin, but I'd check with them to be sure about the hardiness.

@zenman, I can't argue about the rapid return on annual seeds. Some plants require more patience than others, but all have their merits and faults. My earliest Iris start in February, and I have a few blooming now, so by choosing carefully, you can have a long window of bloom... Just not the big boom of color that we get in April and May... Or certainly that you would get all summer from zinnias.
