The roses in the south facing section of my garden are loaded with buds right now.
The others are just now "shutting down" for a well deserved rest after the intense heat we had all summer.
My Bill Warriner is a real trooper and always produces one last huge "hurrah" of blooms at Christmas.
2 years ago I bought Enchanted Evening, Coretta Scott King and White Licorice.
None of them did much the first year (as expected) and most of this year... until October, and all 3 suddenly took off like crazy...even with the heat.
Coretta tends to be more pink in the warm months and more orange when it's cooler.
Enchanted Evening blooms amazingly well even with the humidity, which surprised me.
White Licorice is now one of my favorites. More white when warm and more yellow when cool...but the fragrance is amazing. Seldom do I pick roses to bring in the house, but I broke a bud of WL and brought it in. I could smell it when I came in my back door...and it was at the other end of the house.
If only my Intrigue would do as well.
