Received seed in Nov 2022 DND seed swap. Excellent as ground cover and path edging, is attractive to pollinators and insect predators in the vegetable garden.
Prefers well-drained, moist soil in full sun.

Will self-seed freely and naturalize. It is a California and Oregon native and is also known as poached egg plant and Douglas' meadowfoam. It grows in pools, grassy, damp areas and spring meadows. It can grow in poorly drained clay soils. It also has a nice aroma.

It has the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Events
March 1, 2023: Plant emerged (Winter sowed, then moved into the new little greenhouse. Sprouts emerged. Seems to be doing well.)
May 13, 2023: Bloomed (Bloomed, and now blooming profusely in my pot and in the newly transplanted plants in the new front herb bed.)
