antsinmypants's Plant List: Houseplants

A note from antsinmypants
Feel free to ask about anything in my list you may be interested in. I'm always looking to trade. Just because something isn't in my want list doesn't necessarily mean I don't want it & just because something I have isn't marked for trade doesn't mean it isn't available for trade. I stay busy so don't always get around to updating.

Whatcom Seed Co - 2023 - Was not with my order & no communication whatsoever that it would not be there nor why.

Assorted species & hybrids - CactusArchive 2023

Still ISO 2023.

The most effective manner to sow seed is to use a well-drained substrate. It is not necessary to cover the seed with anything. Just keep the substrate moist to stop germinating seedlings from drying out. Whilst the seed is germinating, use a very fine mister when watering. The seeds germinate relatively quickly. In just under a year they are ready for transplanting.

Lithops seed remains viable for at least twelve years, probably much longer, and quite often a proportion of the seed sown just does not germinate when one plans that it should, but may do so a year or even two years later. In fact, it seems very often to germinate better when it has been kept for a year or two.

DND's All Seeds Swap #9 (2022) - DraDiana - Collected 2022

Direct sow after the last frost or (usually) cuttings. Seeds germinate in 7-14 days at
69.8° - 80.6 °F in spring, remove the glass cover gradually as the plants develops and keep them ventilated, no full sun for young plants! The seedlings should not be disturbed until they are well rooted, after which they can be planted separately in small pots. Cuttings: wait until the offsets that appear at the base of old clustered specimens are 1/3 the size of the parent and then detach and plant. Cuttings will take root in a minimum temperature of 68°F (but better in hot weather). Cuttings of healthy shoots can be taken in the spring and summer. Cut the stem with a sharp, sterile knife, and leave the cutting in a warm, dry place for a week or weeks (depending on how thick the cutting is) until a callus forms over the wound. Once the callus forms, the cutting may be inserted in a container filled with firmed cactus potting mix topped with a surface layer of coarse grit. They should be placed in the coarse grit only; this prevents the cut end from becoming too wet and allows the roots to penetrate the rich compost underneath. The cuttings should root in 2 to 6 weeks.
