[ Rose (Rosa 'Madame Plantier') | Posted on November 5, 2011 ]

An incredibly fragrant and hardy cultivar that is probably my all-time favorite of all roses, old and new. It tolerates and thrives in any condition you can think of: drought, flood, heat, humidity, cold, wind, shade, etc. I have never noticed any disease or winter die-back on this rose. It is almost completely thornless and is extremely easy to root from cuttings. Bloom season lasts 2-3 weeks every year and the beautiful, clean fragrance wafts for many feet around the plant.
