[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Stella's Ruffled Fingers') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

This daylily reblooms the most times of any daylily I own. It continuosly sends up rebloom scapes and stays in bloom until the end of August for me. That much rebloom is very unusual for me.

Located on the north shore of Nassau County Long Island, NY zone 6/7 where it is humid in the summer.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Stella's Little Sister') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

Very early daylily to start blooming in my garden. Listed as a multiple rebloomer but has never rebloomed for me in the three years I have had it.

[ Dutch Iris (Iris x hollandica 'Silvery Beauty') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

Like the other Dutch Iris, these grow from small bulbs instead of rhizomes as do Bearded Iris. Very easy bulb to plant as they are small, the size of onion sets and easy to plant as they don't need to be set very deeply. Like most Duch iris, Silvery Beauty looks really stunning in large clusters of blooms.

[ Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

All Goldenrod is very attrective to honey bees, bumblebees and other pollinating insects. Also, an excellent choice to add vivid fall color to the garden, especially if you are looking for an alternative to the usual mums.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Lavaglut') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

Floribunda. Each bloom lasts an exceptionally long period so that the flowers on this rose never seem to end. This makes it an excellent choice for cutting to bring inside as the flowers don't drop.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Wing-Ding') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

Very small flowers but masses of them continually throughout the season. The oddest off-red sort of brick coloring but very pleasing. I also love it because I can keep this rose shrub small in my garden and needed something small for the spot it is in.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Be-Bop') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

This is a very lovely single flowered rose that I grow out by the street in one of my raised round planter beds so that it is easily seen by any passersby. Many people ask me what the flower is, not being used to seeing a rose in single form.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Fox Point') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

A favorite daylily of mine as it is a strong non fussy grower and puts out lots and lots of bloom. It is listed as a northern rebloomer but in spite of that has never rebloomed for me here in my garden.

[ Dwarf Lupine (Lupinus 'Gallery Mix') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

Very difficult to grow here. A perennial plant but most of my Gallery Lupines die out during the hot summers here and I always have to add more plants to the lupine section.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Cherry Sunblaze') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

This rose works fabulously as a low hedge as it does not get too tall but just is constantly in bloom.

[ Catmint (Nepeta x faassenii 'Walker's Low') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

Walker's Low is my favorite Catmint. Very easy care and never needs watering. Once it starts blooming in the spring it just keeps going until frost.

[ Lily (Lilium 'Tridex') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

These short lilies are new to my garden this spring. I needed something showy but short for the spot out in the front yard.
