[ Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum x superbum 'Paladin') | Posted on May 25, 2013 ]

Also listed for zones 4-9. Grows extremely well in my zone 10b garden.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Red and White Delight') | Posted on May 21, 2013 ]

Red and White Delight actually blooms a very pale yellow in my zone 10b garden. It does fade to white by the afternoon when hot.

[ Society Garlic (Tulbaghia violacea) | Posted on May 18, 2013 ]

We use this as a border to keep the rabbits out of our garden beds.

[ False Pimpernel (Lindernia grandiflora) | Posted on May 17, 2013 ]

Extremely fast growing ground cover primarily used around ponds and bog gardens. Can being planted up to 2 inches deep in water. Although the upper zone is listed as 9, this is growing very well in zone 10b. Also, several sources state that Lindernia grandiflora requires wet conditions. Mine are grown in full sun and in normal garden conditions and are quadrupling in size every 2-3 months.

[ Species X Iris (Iris 'Kinshikou') | Posted on May 17, 2013 ]

I. pseudacorus x I. ensata. 'Kinshikou' translates to "Golden Monkey".

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Halloween Costume') | Posted on May 17, 2013 ]

This one is just not opening well for me. 5 previous buds - all disappointments; however, it has been here just under a year so it may just need another year to settle in.

Update: What a difference a month makes! With the upturn in the weather, the buds are opening well and the flower is gorgeous!

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'One Day at a Time') | Posted on May 14, 2013 ]

The base is a light, lemon-sherbet yellow very early in the morning.

[ Louisiana Iris (Iris 'Grace Duhon') | Posted on April 29, 2013 ]

Blooms early in my zone 10 garden.

[ Louisiana Iris (Iris 'Splitter Splatter') | Posted on April 29, 2013 ]

Blooms early in my zone 10 garden.

[ Japanese Hardy Orange (Citrus trifoliata 'Flying Dragon') | Posted on April 24, 2013 ]

A dwarf variety with curly stems and hooked thorns. Germinates in 3-8 weeks but the seeds should remain moist prior to planting for best germination. Will come true 95% of the time from seed. 'Flying Dragon' is often used as the rootstock on grafted citrus due to its dwarfing abilities, disease resistance and cold-hardiness.

[ Trifoliate orange (Citrus trifoliata) | Posted on April 24, 2013 ]

Drought tolerant once established. Often used to form a "living barbed-wire fence." Good choice for livestock containment, privacy boundary due to the wicked thorns.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Swiss Mint') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

Good increase (2.5 for every 1) but appears apricot-melon in my zone 10 garden (like the picture Vic posted).

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Summer Blush') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

I don't know if it is the hotter climate (zone 10), if this daylily takes longer to settle in, or if it is just plain unhappy here but, the blooms on my Summer Blush look very muddy so far. Hopefully, this upcoming year will be better.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Spellbinder') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

Tripled in one year for me despite high temperatures (115-118 degrees this past summer, 90 degrees at night).

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis Ruby Stella ) | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

Listed as having fragrance (mine do not seem fragrant) and a dormant (mine are semi-evergreen in zone 10).

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Purple Rain Dance') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

When this daylily increases for me (zone 10), the new fans are farther from the main fan than normal (sends a new fan up to 8" away from the center point).

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Partita') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

Registered as 15+ buds. Although registered as M, EE in my garden (zone 10).

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Omomuki') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

This is the one daylily that I have that does not like my garden (zone 10). Blooms smaller than registered and is not increasing. All of my other dormants are thriving.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Scottish Fantasy') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

This daylily is increasing 3 to 1 in my zone 10 garden.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Siloam Double Classic') | Posted on April 20, 2013 ]

This one is increasing quickly in my zone 10 garden. I started with 5 fans and, 1 year later, had 23.
