Lynn...from your photos, it appears this one grew chicks starting in July. Is that correct? I've been looking... trying to determine when the chicks are going. Beautiful semp.
Notice how the plant shrinks in size during winter and the tips turn dark. Looks much different. My rating is 3 stars until I see how it does this summer, at which time I may change my rating to a higher score.
Long stolons and you can get up to 15 chicks per year. This variety is more tolerant of hot sun and drought than most of the succulents.
Has a more difficult time in my PNW wet weather though. For that reason I am giving it a 4. I do love this plant.
Good production of chicks and hardy through all seasons here in PNW if given fast-draining soil to grow in. Very attractive eye-catching plant in containers or beds.
My photos showing the lovely deep blue/green coloration are of a plant growing in the shade, except for the last part of the day, when it received sunshine.
