Change of pace.
I'm not posting these as examples of good photography (God forbid) or of exemplary blooms. These are my cast of characters list, my performers as it were, for the end of my season (and a very short play it has been.)
If you search these photos In most of them you will find nascent buds waiting for water, some are obscured but they all hold promise.
Presenting "August 2020 Buds and Blooms"
Obligatory weed
EMERALD TOUCANET
What a great surprise, it would have been gone except my wife's philosophy is "Every living thing has a place on this earth." (even skunks and wasps and squirrels)
JUST JESSIE
Keeps on keeping
CHEROKEE CHIEF
Sometimes two petals and two sepals but so many of ours NBTY's we will take it.
SOLI DEO GLORIA
If the cool mornings stay away.
MASCARA SNAKE
Even the buds are slinky
PURPLE UMBRELLA
This bloom had it rough but lots of buds yet to come.
RED HILL
My bloom till Christmas!
HOTTER THAN THE FOURTH OF JULY
Wow! The blooms are getting a little floppy but for us, this is fantastic (sorry SEARS TOWER, new highlight)
DOWN HOME
Solid solid solid - undamaged blooms and great color
BUDDY'S VICTORIA

VIRTUE OF SELFISHNESS
Hate the book, love the bloom
SEARS TOWER
Four scapes spread out over time. One is done, one hasn't started. Check out the condition of our "lawn" or high and dry desert.
