Hello fellow gardeners!!
We are located in the city of Canton OH, the home the Pro Football Hall Fame.
I had a very rewarding 23 1/2 year career as a Residential Building Designer, until my resignation in late July of 2011, for family and health reasons. My gardening journey began in the Spring of 2012. Our back yard was looking strikingly similar to the Munster's yard at that point
so I decided to create a back yard "escape" on our small city lot.
It turns out that yard and garden work is my sanctuary and free "therapy" (well, not so free, as we're all aware
) It's as though I'm praying through gardening, and the Lord answers my prayers with the beauty of nature and the results of my hard work.
My Dad (God rest his soul) loved to putter around outside. He grew vegetables and his lawn turf was always the envy of the neighborhood.
I feel Dad's presence when I'm outside in the yard and gardens, and ironically, I joined this community on Dad's birthday
A quick word to the wise: Using the wrong garden tool and wearing footwear with no support or traction can lead to a concussion, stitches, and yard/garden work that'll have to wait 'til next year
As gardeners, we put in blood, sweat, & tears, and we sustain stings & injuries, but there's nothing more rewarding than the wondrous result of our hard work! 💫✨💖✨💫
