@Gardenfish I love those grey mottled males of whatever you determine they are, especially that first pic at the top with the water droplets. I've never seen that variety out here. (No, I don't think they breed interspecies, btw).

PM Factoid of the Day
The Chinese mantis have striped faces AND 3 small ocelli— simple eyes—on their foreheads between the two large compound eyes. I love how every new feature I learn about is weirder than the one before.
