That's pretty cool. We have one that has a stripe on two of the petals and not on the third. It doesn't have this trait on every bloom. AKA stripped of rank. Criss is Janet and Bill. Emerald Starburst.
Every home needs a daylily, and every daylily needs a home.

I really love these! Is that what's referred to as a "color break?"

I think so. I'm really interested in the color break- striped category. I hope mor of those will be made available soon! I guess we can also try to create our own...

Well, sadly I really think this particular break is a one-off happening, @Zoia. This daylily bloomed quite a bit last year, but nothing like this week's cool bloom!

I added Lavender Stardust this year, so I'm curious if it'll display color breaks like @SonoveShakespeare 's.

Good news for this thread, a lot of my NoID babies have scapes and buds! I think my feeling is like those of people who hybridize...only without any worries about pollinating, saving seeds, starting seeds, and culling!

Are these color breaks on all of the blooms per respective cultivar or are they on random blooms? I love them all! Hurray!

I'm positive it's on random blooms. I've had two different color breaks on lavender stardust. One with all cream but one half petal purple (pictured above), and all purple but one half petal cream. Both were on random occasions.

I wish we could get them to do it all the time. Just going to have to cheat and buy some known color breakers! They are very cool!

Or breeding color breakers together to possibly have more color breaker daylilies.

Daylilies & hardy hibiscus
I finally got a couple more NoID blooms today, and saw some more yesterday during a visit to an overgrown (and, I predict soon-to-close) daylily farm south of Raleigh.

NoID L14 (bought last year from that same farm) - It's a golden peach, and heavily diamond dusted.Thumb of 2021-06-20/MrKGDickie/6d824f
NoID - All I know is this ISN'T Autumn Minaret (bought from Niche Gardens' going-out-of-business sale in October 2019). Could it be Hemerocallis altissima, one of AM's parents? I'd give scape height and bloom size, but they wouldn't be accurate because the plant is in a pot and we've had such hot/dry weather.Thumb of 2021-06-20/MrKGDickie/245719
NoID E65-67 - I hope this plant is what I ended up with. It must be healthy, if it can bloom in the middle of a patch of Virginia Creeper AND right under a Japanese maple tree.Thumb of 2021-06-20/MrKGDickie/949e20
Interesting veining. It was missing its marker, but it might be Nowhere to Hide, which I know they had last year.Thumb of 2021-06-20/MrKGDickie/cff244
Althought it's washed out in the bright sunlight, this was a lovely shade of pink.Thumb of 2021-06-20/MrKGDickie/c69c2e

I have a couple of NOIDs blooming now.

I bought this one as Siloam Little Girl. It's not that or any other Siloam I can find but it sure looks like one.

Thumb of 2021-06-20/bxncbx/f2a5b6

I bought this one on a trip with a friend and we both bought so many daylilies they got mixed up. I think this is one she bought but she doesn't have the receipt anymore. It is extremely variable in color. It hardly ever looks like this FFO.
