I got SLF as a bonus from Oakes this year. I was hoping for Persian Market -- in fact, I requested it -- so SLF was a bit of a let down. I wonder if it will bloom this year.

It probably had to do with price. Persian Market is one of their more expensive daylilies. I love the pics, though. I'd get it except it's apparently susceptible to rust.

Surely PERSIAN MARKET can not be an expensive daylily.

It's one of Oakes' pricier offerings, $39.99 for a large clump. They don't sell anything more expensive than that. For their bonus daylilies, they give something worth 20% of your order. They are glad to honor requests within that range.

Yes, I can see even it being that much for a large clump.

Some of my NoIDs looked pretty good today.

First is one I assume is a species plant, perhaps H. altissima?Thumb of 2021-06-21/MrKGDickie/8d308c Thumb of 2021-06-21/MrKGDickie/609e38
Next is "D47" from The Lily Farm NC, showing its diamond dusting today (probably won't show in the pics):Thumb of 2021-06-21/MrKGDickie/c97123 Thumb of 2021-06-21/MrKGDickie/10a461
Last is one of my "Brian Mahieu Spiders" bought in bulk from G.H. Wild. It's nothing special, but it IS spider-y unlike several that bloomed last year. Rolling on the floor laughing Thumb of 2021-06-21/MrKGDickie/c13c1f

Today's NoID/garden name beauties:

This is one I got by mistake in a swap. Time will tell if it's two different daylilies or all the same. One seems to be more bi-tone (this one).Thumb of 2021-06-22/MrKGDickie/84b6c2The other plant in that pot see to be a solid "buff" color. That one, the original grower and I have dubbed "Sedgefield Buff Beauty."

This is one I bought from a now-defunct daylily farm on Martha's Vineyard. I bought it for my parents, and it resided in Plymouth, MA for a few years before moving to live with me in NC. The grower had given it the name "Seaside Scallop" but didn't register it.Thumb of 2021-06-22/MrKGDickie/8a145aIt did fully open, but that was during hours of rain. I never got another pic.

I have several NOIDS in my daylily gardens! Some were here when we moved here in 2014, and some I've had for years - just lost the ID *Blush*

This NOID is too pale for a medium pink to suit me - came with the garden!
Thumb of 2021-06-23/KYgal/1763cf

One I actually love - have had for years - very prolific

A vibrant red NOID - gift from a neighbor - I like it
Thumb of 2021-06-23/KYgal/e305c4

This one is a pest! I have moved it out of my main beds, but it keeps popping up and multiplies like rabbits!

I do like this tall apricot NOID

Cannot definitely identify - maybe Karen Sue

Seedfork - THANK YOU!! I took a closeup of mine and compared it carefully with database photos re size/height, tiny ruffles on edges, mid stripe, etc, and I think you may be correct! The registration date would fit into my timeline also. I will mark it as "Possibly Brocaded Gown" in my garden. Thank You!

KYgal,
It was the thin texture and the brocaded look to the petal surface that made me think that was what it might be.

Smokey's Gardens used to send "unnamed seedlings" as bonus plants, although it appears they've discontinued that practice. I've received 2, and one finally FFE'd today.

It's pretty enough, kind of brownish red with a gold wire edge, and it's a nice shape. I'll keep it!Thumb of 2021-06-29/MrKGDickie/bf2a85As of 1 PM, it definitely appears brown to the naked eye.Thumb of 2021-06-29/MrKGDickie/0f8f19

A pretty little NOID 24X5. It does have a true eye - the purple is barely visible on the sepal. Its background is a very faint light peachy cream. If you have any ideas, I'd like to hear them. Thank You!

This one I found in a garden in the neighbourhood - it has been growing there since the 80's and the owner has no idea about the name of the cultivar. It starts blooming before peak bloom, is about 4.5"/29" and is definitely diploid. I've never seen an older cultivar with this color/flower form before - maybe anyone here has an idea?

Hmm. Neither picture is great, but it's a melon-peachy color. But yours also has the paler stripe down the middle of the petals.
