Update on August 17th: the offer for fertilizer for acorns has now been closed. Thanks everyone who participated!

AgroThrive is an organic liquid concentrated fertilizer. You mix it with water and apply to your gardens or containers. It's made from a unique process where they take food waste (like expired food from Costco) and turn it into a "pre-digested" fertilizer.

They have in the past sold it only in bulk (in train cars!) to organic farms around the country. Recently they have started selling it in concentrate form directly to home gardeners, and they've hired NGA to do some PR work in helping them get the word out about this not-new-but-newly-available to home gardeners product.

I've spent the past few weeks learning about their product and how they produce it. It's a very interesting and innovative fertilizer and I think all gardeners would enjoy giving it a try. Unlike other organic fertilizers that have to break down in the soil before they start to benefit the plants, AgroThrive is immediately available because it's pre-digested. This means you see almost immediate results from the fertilizer application.

Well! They are going to offer the product to our members for acorns! For 100 acorns you can get a sample pack of their two varieties (one for fruits and flowers, and the other general purpose). For 500 acorns you get 32oz each of both kinds. Free shipping in either case, of course. Limit one order by member. Can only be shipping within the United States.

Additionally, if you order fertilizer directly from them, they will give YOU acorns here at Garden.org for your purchase. They'll give you an acorn for every dollar you spend on their site (up to 100 acorns). To get those acorns you'll just need to make sure you checkout on their website using the same email address that you use here at Garden.org. Each week they'll send me a list of orders they got and the system here will award the acorns to any matching members.

So, back to the acorns for fertilizer offer, if you have the acorns in your account and want to spend them on this, go to this page: https://garden.org/barn/shop/a...

And to learn more about AgroThrive (they have videos and other things to see) go to https://agrothrive.com/

As I'm unable to take advantage of this (being outside the US), if there are any members who want to try this out but lack the necessary 100 acorns, I am happy to assist. I'll give 100 acorns each to the first 20 members who accept my offer.

I had to 'borrow' 10 acorns from Sumire. I told her I'd repay her in fertilizer. Hilarious!

I guess I get to keep all my fertilizer now. The way I use it, it may be a lifetime supply. Hilarious!

Thank you Hamwild. Thumbs up
