I don't understand, you have 46 photos added to the database and I see you have posted images to threads. https://garden.org/thread/view...
Where is it you want to post photos to?
If in a thread, select the "Chose File' at the bottom of the post box here, find the image on you device and upload. The resulting text will look something like this [ lightbox 59673 [/ lightbox] I always click the preview button to see if the photo is correct before clicking the 'Finished' to post it.
Same thing for a database entry. The menu is at the top of any page, click the Plant Database, search for the plant you want and once on that plant entry page, select the 'Upload an Image' and folow the same steps as above.

I think she had asked similar questions before but still could not figure it out, and that Hemnorth probably posted those photos for her. So lets just hope she does not give up and if she still can't figure it out will get back with someone to help her. Sometimes this site can be difficult for some people to get the knack of it.

No one else can post photos for someone else unless those photos were sent to them and they then logged in as that person.
@HemNorth thank you for helping with the contest, can you help Kat again here?

Kat here, the words Chose File did not appear on my screen in any of the pages configurations of my personal page. I did in fact post quite a few photos before, yes. Nora did not post for me, btw, she was here and showed me, but the screen is different. I have to try a few things I guess. I see the option Chose File is below in this email, which I access via a link emailed to me, but not from the actual email on the site.

FYI, it's "Choose File" which is why it may not be popping up for you—if you had used the "search on page" function. Green Grin!

And by "email", do you mean the area in which you typed your post? If so, then it looks to me like you know how to upload photos, considering you just uploaded one at the end of your post.

I think the photo upload prompt will vary between browsers. In my case, on Firefox on my desktop (Windows 10), it looks like this:

So for me to add a photo to a forum post, I would click on the "Browse" button or drag-and-drop a photo into the text box.

The current profile image is that of Iris 'Volcanic Glow'.

Yes, i was able to on this post that echinacea, on this discussion, because there is an upload file button…. but not from my page. i think this might be because my page includes selected "rooms" from the massive garden.org, but to participate in the rooms seems limited to observation only for me for some reason. Im not sure, im trying to work through this. difficult to do…meanwhile i was xpecting maybe one person to email me, and not have a multiperson discussion, lol. I did find an upload button on the plant group room, but when i tried to name the plants with latin name and variety, it asks for a text box definition then will not accept the name. So im at a crossroads, have things i could contribute but like some one on here said, it seems difficult to some of us. perhaps it IS just me…..

I see the option Chose File is below in this email, which I access via a link emailed to me, but not from the actual email on the site.

I think there is some confusion in terms used. You got an email as a reply to this thread in the Ask A Question forum, (that only happens in this AAQ forum and for t-mails if opted in.) Once you click that link in your email, it takes you to this thread, (a group of posts) so there is no actual email in this site.

my personal page

So do you you mean your profile page, the page you land on when you click either on your user name in your post or your pink icon at the top?

I always start my visit here on the Home page, click the house icon at the top.
From there you decide where to go. (Any threads you have participated in will appear at the top when there is a reply.) You will most likely also see the newest database photos added by members, and probably a few more items depending on the configuration of your home page. (members can pick and chose options they want to see)
You do not add photos on the home page. As I already mentioned, adding photos to the plant database is also done by clicking on the Plant Database tab and using the search function to find a plant by name.

All forums can be found under the Community tab at the top. That tab as well as all the other tabs have drop down menus with all kinds of options.
If you click on your profile, you can see all the images you have added. You can click on the plant names to open that plant entry and then if you own the plant, you can click on the green "Add to Your List". It then appears in a plant inventory list on your profile page. You can then easily find it again should you want to add more photos.
You can click on my name to see how I have mine set up.

And please don't hesitate to ask any questions! nodding

If you are in a forum, you can click on any ongoing thread to read the posts, you will then have to scroll down to the last post to find the empty "post a reply...box.
If you want to start a new thread in any forum, say for instance the Peonies forum, you need to scroll all the way down to find that option.

plant group room--
This almost sounds like you might be trying to upload and tag photos in the area called "Plant Combinations"
I haven't tried that for a while but I recall it being notoriously difficult to get the text boxes to work

I always open a new tab/window and find the plant entry in question, copy the plant ID#, paste it into the text box on the plant combo page, click to select it and done. Can only do it on a PC/laptop because of the drag feature is not compatible on IPad and IPhones.
