One Love Farms posted this announcement on their Facebook page on March 15. Again, I cannot speak to the honesty or accuracy of the post; I'm simply passing it along:
"There is some misinformation going around, and what is being said about us and our business is simply not true, please be assured that we are taking these accusations seriously. We wanted to take this time to address some things and give our customers a quick update about shipping dates, and farm updates!
First and foremost, we have never refused to fulfill any orders, we simply don't feel comfortable shipping plants when it is not the appropriate time for shipping for most of the northern part of the country. We are still experiencing cold nights that are coming close to freezing, and we will not send out plants, only for them to be damaged due to weather. We always have and will ship at zone appropriate times.
Secondly, as stated in previous newsletters and on our website, orders will start shipping in April. We will be doing a quality check at that time, and going from there start shipping at the appropriate time for your zones. We did have lots of orders get delayed last fall due to our extreme drought here in Texas. We have a greenhouse full of plants that are protected and waiting for the proper time.
Third, we want to apologize for any lack of communication on our behalf. We have had a really rough year already, from being sick twice, a tornado that went through our farm, and being in car accident. As much as we tried, we definitely missed some communications and do apologize for that. We recognize our shortcomings and we have hired an assistant to help out with the communication aspect.
As for opening for in person shopping, we do not have a definitive date just yet. We are still in the process of cleaning up from the tornado, and we have to ensure it is safe and clean before allowing guests to come and shop. We will be announcing our opening dates and hours here in the coming weeks on our Facebook page, One Love Farms. We expect opening to be at the beginning of April at some point.
Thank you for being our customers, we appreciate each and every one of you. Please bear with us as we work to catch up on communications, and we will be in contact with you come April about your orders!
Please enjoy these photos of your roses safely growing at our farm, please don't mind the mess and the weeds, we're working on getting it cleaned up!❤️"
