Hi Fellow Gardeners!

I'm starting this thread to share pictures of flowers currently blooming in your outdoor or indoor gardens. Since we all come from different growing zones I thought it'd be exciting to see what's happening at this time of year.

It's currently 33F outside in my Pennsylvania zone 7A garden. I have winter aconite, primrose, hellebores and early crocus blooming. I'm also seeing some daffodil buds forming but they probably won't bloom until Mid-March.

Beautiful! Lovey dubby It'll be another month before I see any of those. It will be my first time for the winter aconite & primrose which I received in the in-person Chicagoland swap. I'm hoping some of my hellebores survived the chipmunks & squirrels Blinking

Inside I have Crown of Thorns, Mother of Thousands and an unidentified (to me) Kalanchoe with yellow flowers blooming. Will try to post pics later as I'm not at my computer at the moment.

It's been pouring rain in Central Florida for two days now, so I haven't been out to the garden - but as of the day before yesterday, I had scabiosa, calendula (best time of year for calendula), some snapdragons from last year, borage, camellia sinensis, evolvulus, a couple of rose buds, Mesa red gaillardia, and a gazania that reseeded itself in my pool pavers, lol. I have never-ending centratherum, and my tulsi blooms and reseeds like a weed. I really should pull it out, but the bees love it.
I also have lots of cool season veggies - aspabroc, bok choy, mizuna, snow peas, Swiss chard, lettuce - and tomatoes I planted last fall (don't be jealous, northern people, they'll all be dead June through August, just about the time you're enjoying yours).
My garden is very weedy right now, though, I have a lot to pull out and replace with new seedlings.

Only indoor plants blooming as we have snow and lows in the 20s still. Several orchids are blooming. Will try to get pics. Also a pink Asarina that is with the orchids. And a scented petunia that I never got around to planting outside.

This Mother of Thousands escaped the pot & planted itself in the ground. I was going to leave it to freeze but had a last-minute change of heart & it thanked me with tons of beautiful blooms Lovey dubby

The early crocuses have popped open now that the snow has melted. I don't see any honey bees yet but they should be coming soon.

It really is time, thank goodness! It's great to see what everyone is enjoying.

My crocus patch has pretty much gone by and not worthy of photography at this point, and the Petasites is almost through blooming, too. Here is Petasites japonicus variegata going to seed. The leaves will follow a little later.

And this Hellebore is one I grew from seeds from a copper flowering cultivar. It's a little late to the party, but these are its first blooms ever.

Along the potomac here the silver maples have just started blooming. I have croci blooming too, and am told my folks in 5b in central IA do as well, which is shockingly early. Apollo arugula and cilantro are bolting already as well here, and I spotted the first dandelion and dead nettles open this past weekend, along with forsythia! Makes me feel like I should be planting peas so I cleaned up a few beds early to get some early crops in.

Johnny Jump Up Viola. I grow a few different varieties but tend to plant the Jump Ups to bloom in winter. Some I put down in Dec/Jan to bloom in spring when softer colors will show.

@Faerygardener thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures! Now I need to plant some paper whites. They looks so pretty.

Edit: I just looked them up and don't think they're hardy in my zone 7A....bummer!

@Mollie670 That is strange as they're a Narcissus. In a bed with the most winter sun they start blooming in December here with later blooms in other beds. But - wow looked them up - I'd not known they were that cold sensitive. But, you get to have the lovely crocuses. I'd planted some on a hillside here and although they bloomed the first year, the next was just 2, then none. So, I stick with all different varieties of Narcissus. Unfortunately, Tulips are to squirrels as truffles are to pigs - so I grew those in pots one year on a porch but decided I'd rather spend the money on something that will come back.

I love that one. It looks like it could be 'Replete'.
