Pardon Me has been a reliable bloomer and spreader in my garden for 5 years.
No supplemental watering, no fertilizing and it is healthy as ever.
Received it as a small clump and it grew to be divided and shared already.

Pardon Me is a reliable performer, and it blooms for a longer period than many of my other daylilies. As a matter of fact, I cut the last scape down on Labor Day! Though the flowers are small, they are richly colored and do not fade. Definitely a daylily worth having.

I have heard this DL mentioned with disdain, but it's been on my list for many years!

I've been growing 'Pardon Me' in my gardens for 4 years.

-- It is an outstanding bloomer, with fantastic color saturation that holds up well all day.
-- Tends to be a mid-late season bloomer for me.
-- Pods set very easily on this cultivar.
-- Pollen is very fertile.
-- Get re-bloom on occasion...not every year in my area. (None this season, 3 re-bloom scapes last season)

From what I understand Pardon Me, along with Happy Returns, were important cultivars in Apps work for re-bloom.

And one can readily understand, Rob. It's gorgeous.

I bought Pardon Me 4 years ago. It struggled between the rose bushes but valiantly put up its scapes each year though the blooms never looked good. I moved it this spring to a slightly shadier spot but one where it was not crowded by other plants. What a difference! It re-bloomed and in spite of awful weather this summer it is still blooming. I was thinking of getting rid of it but now it is definitely a keeper.

It does fine here, increases well and flowers well quite late in the season. Certainly hardy in Zone 4. 'Pardon Me' has the distinction of being the cultivar upon which daylily rust was first formally recorded in the USA:

I have been growing Pardon Me for 10 years. It has been divided a few times. It flowers over an extended period of time, Is very drought tolerant, has a good bud count and forms a clump quickly. It is a front of the bed dl.

I've had Pardon Me for a number of years. Not really sure how many but probably since the mid 2000's. It has formed a nice clump and blooms happily. I don't pay much attention to it, as I have many reds in my garden, but it has a nice clear color over a long period. As a short plant, it does best in the front of a bed.

Pardon Me soldiered on in 2023. The spot it's in is getting shadier but it's not going to get moved. It bloomed from June 30- August 11, a nice long bloom period.
