I have several iris that bloomed for the first time this year that I had never grown before. I was thinking today what my favorite new iris is.

When I first saw 'That's All Folks', I fell in love with it and couldn't stop taking pictures of it, so that has to be my favorite. Lovey dubby

But then, there's 'A Grape Fit' , a bonus iris sent by Schreiners. I fell in love with it the minute it started blooming. Thumbs up

Oh, but wait a minute! I forgot about 'Mango Entree'! My mouth watered every time I looked at it: Drooling

But I can't leave out 'Jump for Joy'! I hadn't seen it in years, and then suddenly this year, there it was! Maybe this is my favorite "new" iris this year: Confused

I had a lot of first time bloomers this year that were beautiful but if I had to pick one it would have to be:
Pretty Ballerina

I guess I couldn't pick just one because 1b was amazing. I didn't get a good pic of it but it was Louisa's Song. Simply amazing!

These four were all new to me this season and I could not choose but they were all drop-dead gorgeous as well as large flowers.

Well, I have a lot that haven't bloomed yet so it's a bit early for me to pick a favorite, then again I'd have a new one every day. I'll have to give this some thought and see what I come up with.

Oh my. I do have favorites that bloomed for the first time. Just need to get the pics ready to post. And then to narrow it down ..... I got over 200 last year so this is going to be hard! You just want first time blooms or all blooms?

My favorite first bloom this year was Star Appeal, but it seems to be a slow and weak grower.

Simply Coral was gorgeous and is way up on the list.
