Most of the Iris in my yard are new to me. Have too many happy-making ones to post them all here.

Singling this one out not only because it is simply gorgeous, but also because it is a No ID that looks like an Ernst, but doesn't match any photographs of any of his registered Irises.
Mystery abounds.

My irises started blooming in late March this year, and there were
new favorites most every day.
However, this one is almost the very last to bloom here. I've loved
Patchwork Puzzle ever since I saw Brad's photo of it - and here it is
this morning. My new fave:

I guess I like the saturated self colored, Dusky Challenger and Devil's Lake.

Deb -- what a great name for an Iris -- *Mystery Abounds*.

Jan -- I'm totally jealous -- I got Patchwork Puzzle last year, but it didn't bloom this year. Your picture will have to suffice for me.

Lloyd -- I like saturated-color selfs too, but not exclusively.............

I can't pick, but it is fun to see everyone else's.

Celia, Secret Service made me quit breathing for a minute.

Bonnie, Edge of the World didn't bloom for me this year, but I cant wait to see it next year.

Ambertime was my most favorite.
Regal Knave was a close second
Tunnel Vision had weather related issues, but it was right up there.

Next year will be my plicata, mud color, luminata season of likes

Missy, that's what happened to me when I saw SS open. It's a beauty all right.

I would have to say it's "Adoree". Such a beauty!

New to my collection is Let It Be and Darla's Choice. Sorry, I cannot decide which I liked best.

Similar to Competitive Edge, Diffrent World, and Afternoon Delight.. Which are all Ernst hybrids. I think you're on the right track.. You may have to go to Wiki.irises and go through all his hybrids that we don't have pictures of here.
