I assume it's a type of dogwood. The tree in the pictures is over 20 years old and only maybe 20 feet tall

I'd say it's a Cornus florida (Flowering Dogwood), but you've taken images that make it difficult to see good positive ID features.

Instead of just one leaf first, show an image of how leaves are attached along a stem/branch (should be opposite in this species). You have shown fall color and full green summer foliage, some nascent fruit, but no flowers.

You could also show dormant branches/buds, and a picture of the trunk with its bark character.

The dimensions you've provided fit with Flowering Dogwood quite well.

As a new member, you could provide your growing location (city, state) and gardening zone to help in the ID of your plant.

I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
It IS a dogwood, if you need to know exactly the variety, you will need to provide more detailed photos and even your state/zone will help.

Welcome!

It's not my tree. It's across the street from inlaws house. The picture that's reddish in color is a spring picture with flowers. Also those pictures of fruit are from this weekend in Lowell Massachusetts I think zone 5a without looking or 4a

Thanks, Mpsteve. That clarifies a lot.

I had not zoomed in to realize that the red was a mass of spring flowers, not fall foliage as it appeared.

That is very likely a named red-flowered clone of Cornus florida - maybe one like 'Cherokee Chief'.
