I have been bitten by the Green Bug ..... green throats are showing up in both my dip and tet seedlings and want to work on enhancing that characteristic.

Show us your "greens" ....

Here is one I just registered as "Folded Wings"
Nice foliage, strong straight scapes ... Merlot blooms with purple eyezone and purple veining. Large vivid yellow to green throat. 43" / 8" 3 way widely spaced branching with 21 buds ... budbuilds. Supernatural x Pawprints On My Heart.

This is "Magic of Oz" .... it has the kind of green throat that I would like to encourage.

Couple of my dip seedlings that recieved Magic of Oz pollen :
Lisa Klette / lilydaydreamer, these are from the seedling we have talked about (Above the Crowd x Rosy Lights)

(Above the Crowd x Rosy Lights) x Monacan Trail #6
50" / 7" - 3 way with 15 buds - Very light peach or near white with chartruese throat.

Thumb of 2016-12-12/TreeClimber/0506f1

(Above the Crowd x Rosy Lights) x Monacan Trail #4 - 45"/8" 4 way with 30 buds - Rose with deep rose veining and eyezone. Large yellow to chartruese throat. Budbuilding takes this one into the late season.

Thumb of 2016-12-12/TreeClimber/2cd114

(Above the Crowd x Rosy Lights) x Pink Stripes #2
40" didn't note the bloom size, but at least 7", 4-5 way with 30 buds

Here's a "green" tet that I acquired this past season. I really loved the blooms, and since I don't want to spend what it takes to get tet Rose F. Kennedy one of her "kids" will do. I got mine at a plant sale in July, it was potted, and had already bloomed, but it still gave me a rebloom scape.

Cool Bananas (Pierce-G., 2015)
height 38in (96cm), bloom 10in (25.5cm), season EE, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, Fragrant, 30 buds, 5 branches, Unusual Form Cascade, Light lemon with darker lemon chartreuse veining above an olive green throat with diamond dusting. (Mint Octopus × Tet. Rose F. Kennedy)

Looked greener in person than in my photo.

CB's "mother" MINT OCTOPUS is on my wanted list.

I really like your thread subject. I too have been intrigued with green throats and green daylilies. I bought some seed crosses last year and this year with alot of green in their parents. Will see what these crosses produce in a few years. For now, here are some of my greenest daylilies.

Nice one's Cindy. I really like your seedling "Jester's Collar x Magic of Oz".

Will have to look up the other "Oz" cultivars, I didn't realize that "Memories Of OZ" had that green throat too. Loving "Lillians Vapor Trail". Thanks for posting ....

You are all showing some that I would love to grow.
One of my first focused interests in hybridizing was for the green throats. I used Rose F Kennedy pollen on over 200 different daylilys the first year it bloomed so most of what I grow with lots of green are seedlings.
We have a lots of seedlings from Rose F Kennedy and RFK kids. I have been making crosses for green since 2011. We have also purchased some seeds on the LA in 2011 and 2012.
Our 2 introductions submitted to AHS in October, and waiting for the names to be approved, show the green color.

This is Galaxy Explosion x Magic of Oz and I don't recall if I purchased the seeds or got them as bonus from Cindy. We have grown both of the parents since 2011 but it is not a cross I have done.
It worked with this one as it caught our eye from the first bloom in 2013. It also has 4 branches and 28 buds.

This one is Rose F Kennedy x Super Fancy Face (12-205)and has been an outstanding parent with lots of really interesting seedlings on our watch list.

I too, got bit by the green bug- and I am tending more to the UFO's and spider-like.

I added "Dragon Seeker" this fall

Fancy Face (summer 2016)

Ocean Spirit (fall 2016)

Addie Branch Smith- (summer 2016)

Chorus Line- I've had this one for five years. Bought a bunch of fans for a big landscape planting and it established nicely. It bloomed pretty well in its heavily shaded spot. This fall, we cut down a tree just to the south of the bed so I may not have to move the bed in the spring- yay!

Fire Blast (fall 2016)

Most of the above are fragrant.... *sniff, sniff* Hurray!

I saw a bunch of lovelies that'll have to go on my list- the one I'm allowed to make just as soon as I use the flowers I already have!

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
