Those are a lot of nice green throats Larry. I have John R. Pike... JRP is on the list of plants to be moved next spring to an area where I will see it more often.

Those are all beautiful, but I especially like 'Kryptonite' and 'Kachina Firecracker'. My 'Laura Harwood' bloomed for the first time this season, it was not nearly as impressively green as the ones being shown in this thread.

I'm going to add another one. I didn't when I added the first couple because I think what makes this distinctive isn't the green throat. But the throat is green and sticks in the memory so I've decided to post 'Monocacy Summer Mist' in the middle of a lot of other blooms which don't have green throats. I think you can see why the memory of the green stays with you. You may have to enlarge the photo to get the effect. It's in the middle and the only one with the pronounced green throat.

This one often gives me 3 sets of scapes in a season.

The green coloring in this pic is spot on.

I'm pretty sure it got attacked by thrips. Might have to try spraying her this year ;)
