Happy May Day!
It's too windy to hang baskets on doors, so I put my surprise bouquets in vases. I'm enjoying the trifecta here in Kansas--roses, peonies and iris all at once! The tree peonies finished last week, and the Itohs are in full glory now. I have several early peonies open, plus some confused midseason ones. The shrub roses are in full flush.
We ended up with 5" of rain in the past few days, along with a hard frost that didn't seem to do too much damage. The poor people in western Kansas have a foot of snow! Our Rose Society is waiting on a group order from High Country roses, and it's delayed because of all the snow out in Denver. Our sale is next Saturday, so I hope it gets here on time.
I'll take some pictures and head to McDonalds where wifi is good enough to upload multiple photos.
