I use this "tool" for brushing off my potting area, too. Works great!
I have another paint brush like this I use to clean lampshades. I take the dusty lampshade outside, check the wind direction, and begin to brush all the house dust off the shade.
Great idea, Rebecca! I've been using a whisk broom, but it leaves behind a lot, so I have to sweep repeatedly. The finer bristles of a paintbrush would be much more efficient, and I hope to remember that next time. Thanks!

Oh, I have some real dusty lampshades, I had not thought of using one in the house. Would probably work on framed art work as well. Will pick up a couple extras for the house, yeah, l need to dust.
That's a good idea, too, thanks! My son is coming for Christmas, and his allergies are terrible, so we're trying to get every speck of dust out of the house.
This is a great tip and although I don't have a potting bench or specific potting area (I pot up plants out on my deck and then sweep or hose off the excess mess) I do use Paintbrushes for dusting houseplants ... and plants in my terrariums. When I grew African Violets a few years ago, a soft paintbrush was perfect for dusting the delicate flowers.
